The webinar's over. Live demo, real SAP data, the whole thing. Before I move on to what's next, I want to talk about the questions.
A good number of people asked something during Q&A. Almost none of them asked "does this work." They'd just watched it work. What they asked instead tells you a lot more about where this technology actually stands with SAP teams right now.
This came up more than anything else. Not "is it secure" in the abstract, but specific questions about how access actually gets enforced.
Here's the honest answer. Every question runs under real SAP user credentials, using that person's own existing roles. Nothing bypasses your authorization model. If someone doesn't have access to a business object today, asking Copilot about it doesn't change that.
Every SAP landscape has customization. Nobody's running vanilla ECC or S/4. So the question wasn't "does this work with SAP," it was "does this work with our SAP."
The engine keeps track of your custom objects, not just the standard ones, so answers can actually draw on what's specific to your landscape. That's the difference between a tool that works in a demo and a tool that works in your environment.
A few questions came from people running more than one SAP system, sometimes several. Reasonable thing to worry about: does this only work for a single, clean instance?
Each SAP system gets its own connector. Multiple systems, ECC and S/4 running in parallel, regional instances, whatever your landscape actually looks like, that's a normal supported case, not an exception someone has to engineer around.
The practical questions. How is this priced. Where is this going next.
Licensing is usage based, tied to actual activity, not just how many seats you buy. And this isn't a finished product frozen in place. There's more coming.
Nobody was asking whether the idea makes sense. They were asking the questions you ask about something you're already planning to use. That's a different conversation than the one we were having a month ago.
If you registered but couldn't make it live, don't worry, the replay covers all of it. Watch the recording →
And if any of these four themes is the one keeping your team up at night, that's exactly the conversation worth having. Book a pilot and we'll go through it against your own landscape, not a hypothetical one.
